The Jar Test: Baystate Shakeup

You’re Invited

U4EA Farms proudly invites you to participate in The Jar Test: Baystate Shake Up — an exclusive solventless hash competition.

The Jar Test: Baystate Shake Up was created to celebrate craftsmanship, community, terp expression, honest feedback, and a deep respect for solventless culture. This is a room full of people who truly understand what they’re tasting — makers judging makers through a blind experience focused purely on quality, flavor, and expression. Once the judging wraps up, we shift into full island mode for the Floatin’ & Tokin’ Luau, celebrating another summer of hash, community, and good vibes together.

Judging Format & Scoring

Because The Jar Test is built around a peer-judged blind tasting experience, all competitors are also expected to participate as judges during the event.

Each entry will be scored across the following categories:

Category
Score
Color
1-10
Texture
1-10
Smell
1-10
Taste
1-10
Burn
1-10
Uniqueness
1-10

Total Possible Score: 60 Points

Scores from all judging cards within each category will be averaged together for a final cumulative score. The highest total score in each category wins.

Judging Process

To keep the competition fair and efficient, we ask all judges to follow the same process:

  • Thoroughly smell each jar first and record your smell score before taking a dab
  • Remove only a single dab onto the parchment paper provided
  • Keep jars moving steadily around the table so all judges have equal access
  • Once the first jar reaches approximately halfway around the table, the next jar will begin circulating
  • If you need to revisit or smell a jar again, simply ask one of the hosts

We want every competitor to give their most honest and thoughtful evaluation possible.

Competition Conduct

This event was created to celebrate solventless craftsmanship, community, terp expression, and mutual respect.

We ask all participants to:
